Whether you want to work through a fear of public speaking or simply enjoy theater and want to experience what it's like to be onstage, this is a perfect introductory opportunity. Gain confidence, meet new people, and have fun with theater games, improv, and more!
Instructor Mike Dees is a Barrymore Award-winning actor and educator who has been teaching at the Lantern for over ten years. He has appeared on stages throughout the Philadelphia region, including here at the Lantern in Arcadia and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Intro to Shakespeare

Instructor: Bi Jean Ngo
Unlock the secrets of the Bard! Whether comedy, history, tragedy or romance, you'll learn to breathe life into the poetry of the world's most celebrated playwright.
Instructor Bi Jean Ngo is an accomplished actor and educator, and 2016 recipient of the F. Otto Haas Award for an Emerging Philadelphia Theatre Artist. She just completed a two-year Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowship with the Lantern, where her stage credits include 36 Views and next spring's production of The Tempest in which she will star as Ariel.
