Lantern Theater Company and program partner After School Activities Partnerships (ASAP) offer teacher-training and placement for local theater artists interested in building a teaching resume. The program begins with a master class led by some of Philadelphia's best theater educators, preparing participants for the challenges of teaching theater in classrooms. In exchange for this valuable training, participants are asked for a six-week volunteer commitment, leading a weekly after school drama club at a site in Philadelphia. Placed at a site by ASAP and mentored by the Lantern's education staff, this program offers both training and classroom experience in a fun, nurturing environment. For more information, contact Joshua Browns, Education Director, at jbrowns@lanterntheater.org. Lantern Theater Company is an equal opportunity employer.
