Parking Options

Ample parking is available near the Lantern at a variety of lots and garages, two of which offer discounts to Lantern patrons as specified below. Rates may change at the discretion of parking management; the Lantern cannot guarantee these rates. Metered street parking is also available during posted hours.

If you have any problems or questions about parking coupons, please contact the Lantern Box Office at boxoffice@lanterntheater.org or 215.829.0395. DO NOT contact the Philadelphia Parking Authority offices. Please note as well that the Lantern does not control posted parking rates or the number of hours you park at the garage, so the rate you pay may vary from the information provided below.

—  discount available for 2018/19 SEASON SUBSCRIBERS ONLY  —

  • Matinee Performances: The Lantern discount coupon reduces the PPA posted rate by $12 for entry after 12PM on performance days only (Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays). For example, the posted rate for parking from 12PM to 5PM – a typical lunch and matinee performance timespan – is $24, so the parking coupon would in this instance produce a $12 parking cost. Please note that this discount is NOT a flat rate, and your parking cost will vary depending upon the total number of hours you park.
  • Evening Performances: Flat rate of $6 for entry after 5PM on performance days only.
  • Instructions: Collect a regular parking ticket when entering the garage. Present your SUBSCRIBER ticket stub at the Box Office before the show or at the Concession Stand during intermission to request your PPA Parking Coupon. When leaving the garage, insert your regular parking ticket in the payment machine THEN your discount parking coupon, and wait for your reduced price to appear before entering payment. If you have any questions, please see the parking attendant on duty.
  • Note: This parking discount is available for Lantern SUBSCRIBERS ONLY. Parking discount/coupons are supplied by the PPA, include restrictions imposed by the PPA, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Lantern cannot guarantee the availability of the parking coupons for every performance.
