Support Arts Education at the Lantern

The Lantern's education program, Illumination, is a core part of our mission to produce plays that investigate and illuminate what is essential in the human spirit and the spirit of the times, and we invite you to support our arts education program.

During the 2025/26 school year, Illumination served over 3,500 local students and teachers with classroom residencies, student matinee performances and post-show conversations with the artists, and teacher training workshops, including close to 1,200 students in their classrooms and almost 2,400 at our theater.

Students and teachers served by Illumination represented 17% of the Lantern's total community members served by our artistic, educational, and audience enrichment programming.

Student and teacher attendance at performances of Lantern plays equaled 15% of our total audience during the 2025/26 season.

We need your support to continue this good work. Please consider supporting the following:
$25 Support a teaching artist training session in fall 2026
$125 Send a Lantern actor to a classroom at a residency partner school to talk with the students about professional acting on stage and in film
