Lantern Theater Company has been creating intimate and engaging theater in Philadelphia since 1994, producing over 100 plays by a wide range of contemporary and celebrated classic playwrights. Through our New Works Program, we are dedicated to developing and producing new plays, often new interpretations of classic literature. Recent world premieres include Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, an original adaptation by Anthony Lawton, Christopher Colucci, and Thom Weaver; The Craftsman by Bruce Graham; Oscar Wilde: From the Depths by Charles McMahon; an original adaptation of Dylan Thomas' A Child's Christmas in Wales conceived by Charles McMahon and Sebastienne Mundheim; and upcoming productions of Minors by Kittson O'Neill and Robert Kaplowitz and The Misanthrope by Peter DeLaurier.
